DP2 paid a visit to Al Mufty Medical Laboratory

We gained valuable insight into the world of bacterial culture, looking into methods to culture different types of bacteria and test different antibiotics resistance. These skills would be helpful in evaluating and choosing our biology internal assessment. We also explored the way a paraffin-embedded (FFPE) block of tissue can be created. Through engaging hands-on experiments, we set on using micropipetting and learning to adjust the micrometer in the pipette to regulate volume. The visit offered us a comprehensive understanding of microbiology and a guiding opportunity to live a scientific experience in a laboratory setting. Thanks to Dr.Tamara for giving the students this amazing opportunity.
