Ms. Saria Auf Talked about Earthquakes

This week’s PYP assembly focused on earthquakes and earthquake safety, led by our own parent, Ms. Saria Auf, who is a paramedic and a member of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent’s disaster management team. The assembly began with a presentation on the science behind earthquakes. Students were shown examples of earthquakes from around the world and learned about the importance of being prepared for a potential disaster. They also learned about strategies for staying safe during an earthquake, such as “drop, cover, and hold on,” and the importance of having an emergency kit and plan in place. We thank Ms. Saria for the informative presentation.
